The 25th EurOMA conference was held in Budapest from 24 to 26 June 2018 in a joint organization of the Budapest University of Technology and Economics, the Széchenyi István University and the Institute of Computer Science and Automation of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences. On behalf of Széchenyi István University Professor Gyula Vastag participated as a program chair in the conference and many lecturers (Dr. Eisingerné Dr. Balassa Boglárka, Dr. Feketéné Dr. Czakó Katalin, Dr. Tibor Dőry, Dr. Filep Bálint, Országh Ákos, Dr. Kovács Zsolt ) and SzEEDSM PhD students (László Buics, Kinga Szabó, Attila Sóti, Máté Tóth) of the university participated as well.

A total of 562 lecturers attended the conference, of which 47 lecturers came from Hungarian universities. The size and significance of the conference is well illustrated by the fact that participants from around 45 different countries in the world came to Budapest to discuss their latest research results.
