On the 19th of February the SzEEDSM Program Management conducted the Final Dissertation Defense of Árpád Tóth where Mr. Tóth successfully defended his dissertation. (Title of the PhD thesis: IFRS 16 leases impact review in Hungary and a comparison to DAX 30 German listed entities)
Mr Tóth is a member of the Association of Certified and Chartered Accountants (ACCA), which is among the best-recognized global accounting qualification. He is a Hungarian Chartered Accountant and a Tax Advisor. He received his master degree from the Széchenyi István University in 2001 as an Economist; besides, he earned a Law extended Economist diploma from the Eötvös Lóránd University in 2005.
In his current role, Mr Tóth is employed as a Project Manager and a Lecturer at Széchenyi István University. From the lecturing perspectives, he teaches International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and Management Accounting for University and MBA students. His research area is International Financial Accounting regulation, where he focuses on leases. As a project manager, he works for the Research Center of the Vehicle Industry, which consists of various research groups related to Autonomous Driving, Electronic Vehicle Powertrain or Vehicle Electronics. The Center is operated by a unique cooperation between the University and the Hungarian Academy of Science.
