On the 29th of September, 2022 the SzEEDSM Program Management conducted the Preliminary Dissertation Defense of Béla Venesz. (Title of the PhD thesis: Selection of appropriate lead users for NPD in co-creation: further development of the lead user method in the context of medical device innovations)
According to the dissertation involving appropriate lead users in the NPD process is particularly challenging, as the contribution of individuals varies strongly because the characteristics of users differ significantly. Although the lead user method sets two criteria to identify lead users it does not consider the personal characteristics of the external contributors that are required to achieve success in the lead user involved NPD.
