(1) Admission to the doctoral training is organized through the annual admissions process. The programs available are announced by the program leaders. The University laws and regulations outline the requirements for admission.

(2) Applications for the doctoral training must be submitted to the secretary of the doctoral school by the announced deadline. The application must include a fully completed application form and proof of payment of the administration fee.

(3) Degrees earned abroad must be accepted in accordance to the applicable law before applying. Those university students that will be writing their final exam after the application deadline must enclose a copy of their transcripts with the application form. The admission of these students is conditional.

(4) The application deadline is  this year noon, August 20^th in each year, in accordance with the conditions stated on the website of the doctoral programs. In the admission process the applicant must choose a discipline (Regional or Economic and Management Sciences) and the specialization subject within that discipline (as stated on the website: www.doktori.hu ). The students must comply with the requirements of the chosen program.

(5) Admissions are processed every year in the middle of June. The exact date and place is determined by the disciplinary council of the doctoral school. The candidates will be informed of the exact date and time of the admission by the secretary of the doctoral school.

(6) The admission procedure takes place before an admission committee with at least 3 members, who have been appointed by the program manager. Participating admission committee members must have scientific degrees.

(7) During the admission process the admission committee examines the candidate’s educational achievements and language skills, and – within the framework of the admission interview – makes an opinion on the candidate’s professional intelligence, his/her ideas of the doctoral training, and evaluates related scientific nature activities.

(8) Regarding the SzEEDS^M program the admission committee will evaluate the candidates according to the following general principles (max. points 100):

Previous professional achievements (university studies and or professional practice)	max. 40 points
Motivation cover letter	max. 20 points
Admission interview	max. 40 points

(9) The candidates will be ranked by the admission committees of the training programs according to the points the candidates earned. These will be presented to the doctoral school’s doctoral disciplinary board. The doctoral school’s doctoral disciplinary board will make their decision upon the rankings of the admission committee considering the admission quota. The decision may be the following:

1. a)      admission to full state scholarship doctoral programs (full time training, state-funded training),
2. b)      admission to full fee-paying training doctorate course (full time training, fee-paying training),
3. c)      admission in part-time training fee-paying doctorate course (correspondence, part time training),
4. d)     admission to fee-paying individual study (individual, fee-paying training),
5. e)      rejection of application.

(10) The candidates will be informed in writing by the head of the doctoral school regarding the decision of the admission. In the admission notice those candidates who won admission to the program are to be informed about which organizations will use their personal data and for what purposes.
